Happenings of 2012 (So Far)
Monday, 9 January 2012 @ 22:34

Well, on the 1st of Jan my family and I went over to Switzerland for a family holiday and MashaAllah the place is amazing. Like the mountains, glaciers, mountain goats, deers, the weather, the pretty snowflakes, the old architecture, everything. I loved it so much, although at times it was painfully cold. And Alhamdulillah we made a safe arrival back home today. :) I'll just put up some nice pictures for you to get a glimpse of what life's like over there. I love it there except that it's too dog friendly for my liking. I'm not really fond of animals and kinda am afraid of dogs so you shouldn't be surprised if you see me jump at the sight of one haha. Dogs are allowed on public transports and into shops and all so it was a bit of a culture shock for me. But anyway, back to the pictures!

And for the sake of it, we found a halal restaurant on our day trip to Geneve (there are quite a number of Muslims there so it was comforting to see a bit of 'home' you know? Likewise for when we bumped into our fellow countrymen at Jungfrau). The kebabs are nice but the sandwich I ate came in an unexpectedly big portion!

Okay now besides Switz, I've also come to the decision that I wanna do something good to people, not just to people I know, but to everyone if I can. So I kind of want to convert my current personal twitter account into a public one (well it's already public) where I post motivational quotes, some my own, some quoted from people, or even verses from the Quran so people have this optimistic thing on their timeline that comes in once in a while, you know, to boost them up or something. It's currently under process and all and some people have retweeted and some have favourited and that's comforting, so yup. If you don't know my twitter name it's @tiyashraf so you can go check it out. And I do hope this thing works out and brings about a positive impact not only to others but to myself. So if you find it good go spread it so more people know.

That's all for now, going over to the RJ open house tomorrow with the people I love and generally regard as family (hahaha yes lovelies you all officially have a bit of indian blood now if that even makes sense lol no it doesn't haha).
