Home is where family is

I just came back from an 11 day trip to Selangor, my hometown. The longest trip ever since a long time because my bro and I are always caught up in school and so on. But maybe it's cos this time both of us have graduated in the same year so our December holidays are generally not filled with school-related things. So that's good yeah. Alhamdulillah.
I miss my family. Although it's only been a while since I got back. It's like my grandparents' home is generally a first home for me, and when everyone goes there, simply the funniest and happiest things take place, and you just want it to go on and on and on. And yes even watching tv with my cousins to me is something worthwhile although they're youngsters and they see sitting down in one spot as boring but oh well. Hahaha but yeah.
I know I should always be thankful for whatever I have and yes I am because I live in this safe country and I have a roof over my head and loving parents and I've got an education and all that but I really would like to know how life would be like if I lived in Selangor. Like growing up there, schooling there, spending every weekend with my cousins there and stuff. I only go there twice a year and probably only see family there for what, like 20 days every 365 days? Which is reallyyyyy saddening. Everytime I bid them farewell before I come back here I honestly feel my heart sink. I don't want them to leave, and I don't want to leave them either. Just hearing their voices makes me happy. And yes I hear them over Google Talk and everything but it's just not the same. And watching all of them do their simple things like reading the newspaper, watching television, chatting with each other, playing on the swings outside, eating, and everything.
There are a few reasons why I'd like to live in Malaysia if I could hahaha
1) Family there and the thought of being able to see them every week but yes I've also got my family here lah don't get me wrong okay but just because I hardly see them so yeah especially on festivities like Raya and all.
2) The fact that they allow hijab in schools
3) Easier to find the clothes I wear
Obviously these aren't all the reasons but I think I'll stop there.
I managed to watch four hindustan movies while I was there: Devdas (the SRK one), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Baabul and Fanaa. I still can't get over how Aamir Khan looked really nice in the soldier uniform hahahaa okay I'm hopeless.
Besides that also did a baking day up with my aunt and cousin and yes the cookies we baked was good. Dad and grandfather said it's better than Famous Amos' which is like whoa!!! Hahahaha. :) Happy to hear that so maybe I should start baking? Just cookies. Oh, we did pizza too, and I kneaded the dough! Tough work but it rose nicely! Photos taken by phone so not really very good quality ones!
All in all I'm really thankful to Allah swt for blessing me with such a wonderful amazing family and this trip has really been a great one. I miss every single one of them a lot already and seeing their smiles as they come into the PJ house is something I'll have to wait for for 6 months. Again.
