I like the movie Happy Feet. Especially how the little kid was brave enough to go against the status quo. I loved his mother even more, and how she gave him support and never went against him. This to me is one of the important things that we as humans need. It is an essential thing indeed.

Especially when we're in our youth at this moment (sorry I'm appealing to those within my age group), we need support, from our peers, teachers and most of all parents/family so that we are able to succeed. This support is usually want keeps our spirits high, and it is a form of encouragement to most of us.

Sometimes, however, like the penguin in Happy Feet (my apologies I can't exactly remember his name), we end up doing things alone, and it is definitely difficult. You can really see the challenges this little kid has to overcome in order to be appreciated by society. He didn't have support. But he still pulled through.

I'm sure you'd agree that having this support would make things much easier for us. At times it comes easily, while during other times, you have to earn it. The hard way. My peers and I sometimes go through various circumstances, under which we do need the support. However, sometimes, you have to earn that support by showing that you are really passionate about something, so much so that you are willing to put in so much of your time and effort to achieve success.

For this post I don't really have much of a point to make, I just felt like highlighting the importance of this aspect. I know I have the support of my parents, my teachers and my peers for the different things that are happening in my life at the moment, but there come times when any of the people above disagree with what you are doing (even though it's not wrong), and thus the support from them would be lacking. If this happens to you, I urge you to rethink, and reflect on why they disagree. If you're still willing to carry on with what you're doing, go ahead. Just remember that you bear the consequences.

Although this is so, I feel that if you show your drive for that particular issue, those who disagree would eventually realise that this is very important to you, and would want you to be happy, thus would show their support by at least being there for you!
