Stress!
Tuesday, 29 March 2011 @ 19:54

Hi! I'm back!

Yes it's been ages since I posted here, but I prefer using blogger over tumblr. For some reason or another :)

Okay, so today, I would like to talk about stress, especially since it's April; the period of time where every students finds themselves rushing over mid terms, various school projects and all sorts of co-curriculum activities and competitions etc. Life is very hectic, and yes, it is very tiring.

Many a times, we find ourselves to be complaining, and saying stuff about school and all. It is uncontrollable, especially when it is at an intolerable level. I do have friends who end up staying in school till around 8 p.m. or even later, to complete whatever they have to do! And when they come home, they'll end up burning the midnight oil completing their assignments for the next day. I think people nowadays (sometimes even I too am guilty of this) are always in a rush. We don't know how to stop and breathe; but that's probably because there is no time to do that.

Even though this part of stress is unavoidable, we most definitely can look at it positively! We don't always have to complain, although that is the better option. But this doesn't get us anywhere. When we complain, we're just making ourselves think that the situation is really bad, but we can actually try to make the most of it.

My dad always tells me to have a good attitude towards learning, and I think this does not only apply to academics because we practically learn all the time! What we can do whenever we are stressed is to take a breather to sort our thoughts out. And I think even though this sounds very teacher-ish, we should also reflect on WHY we chose to embark on a certain task. After all, it was our decision to take that particular path in the first place. And it is also good, to see whether you want to make any changes to anything you're doing so that it is more in line with your goals.

Do things that make you happy, and think positively! It works, even though it's difficult. There will be rough patches along the way, but it is important that we get through them with a bullet proof best. When you get there, (hopefully) you'll agree with me! :)
